The new selection tools are meant to bring Flash up to speed concerning selection functions compared with other graphic programs.
The select inside tool allows you to select inside a fill. Flash’s default behavior is to select and drag when the select tool is used inside a figure; this gives you a new tool which works more like the Photoshop selection tool. It includes a snap to pixels which makes it very useful in conjunction with the Pixel Tool set.
The select line is used just like the select line tool of Photoshop. It allows to select a single horizontal or vertical row. Adjust the selection size using the stroke options.
