Just a quick word to warn you that I will not be updating the blog for quite a little while, as I am heading to France for a two month trip that will be almost entirely Internet-free. That’s right, I am going to the old continent and biking for two months, way up to Copenhagen. I will land in Paris on Wednesday, then head to Normandy and Britanny, then going east, possibly to Strasbourg, then Belgium, the Netherlands, a tiny bit of Germany, and finally to that social democrat paradise they call Denmark. It’s going to be one heck of a ride, but I am in the hands of the beautiful Hélène, pictured below, so I’m not worrying.

(Hélène was originally named “the Green Giant”, then a quick wikipedia lookup revealed that a fellow named Len voiced the Green Giant in the commercials, and then it was remembered that ships of such splendid beauty should be named after a woman, hence Hélène).
